Excel: Getting Started

This course teaches the basic functions and features of Excel 2007. After an introduction to spreadsheet terminology and Excel's window components, students will learn how to use the Help system and navigate worksheets and workbooks. Then they will learn how to enter and edit text, values, formulas, and pictures, and save workbooks in various formats. Students will also learn how to move and copy data, about absolute and relative references, and how to work with ranges, rows, and columns. This course also covers simple functions, basic formatting techniques, and printing. Finally, students will learn how to create and modify charts, and manage large workbooks.

Learning Objectives
Completion of this course will enable you to:

  1. Understand spreadsheet terminology and Excel's window components
  2. Use the Help system and navigate worksheets and workbooks.
